Our first one-run Game 3, Oregon State staved off elimination in Game 2 and then the Beavers’ Bill Rowe capitalized on a throwing error in Game 3 to score what would prove to be the title-winning run.
On the opposite side of the bracket Kentucky and NC State went to extra innings, with a 4-4 tie being broken when the Wildcats walked off the Wolfpack. After a nearly four-hour delay, Texas A&M beat Florida in a 3-2 matchup, sending the Gators to a Monday afternoon matchup vs. NC State and setting up the Aggies in the winner’s bracket vs. Kentucky.
This is pretty awesome. Indiana State can’t host NCAA Supers this weekend because Indiana Special Olympics are on campus for 51st straight year. The 14th-seeded Sycamores have to play at TCU. So, what are Horned Frogs fans doing? Making donations to the Indiana Special Olympics!

Game around the world
I am actually embarrassed that I didn’t think of this sooner! We have been playing the game”Around the World” (directions below) in my class for about ten years. I had folders full of giant flashcards I created for each unit. Each time we switched books, I would have to make a new set to align with a new vocabulary list.

In this game the girls will pair up and put hands together facing each other and work together to hope from one end to other without letting go of hands touching. This requires communication and jumping at same time. It requires extreme concentration, stamina and balance.
The game is also known as Irish poker, Chico high low, monkey balls, Chef’s deal, foam game, North Carolina, Up and down the river, cannon ball, Charleston special, buja, Death Valley and unlucky ‘sevens’ seven.

3. The person holding that number becomes the first person in line according to their number. (For example, if number 5 is drawn the person assigned number 5 becomes the first person in line, followed by 6,7,8 and so forth. This continues until the highest number originally handed out is reached. After that, the person assigned number 1 will join the line, followed by the remaining people in the order of the numbers they are holding with the person having 4 becoming the last in line.)

Tennessee held on to its 4-1 lead to force a winner-take-all MCWS Finals Game 3 tomorrow. Two 2-RBI homers in the seventh and eighth innings gave Tennessee the advantage as the Vols held the Aggies scoreless after Jace LaViolette’s first-inning homer. Though the Aggies put two runners on in the bottom of the ninth, they were unable to finish the job against Tennessee closer Nate Snead, flying out twice to end the game.
Here in the finals, they lost Game 1 and then were down 1-0 in Game 2 before getting two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings in a 4-1 win. They finish things off here having gone 3-0 in elimination games.

Longest game world series
The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball (MLB). It has been contested since 1903 between the champion teams of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). The winning team, determined through a best-of-seven playoff, is awarded the Commissioner’s Trophy.
“It’s a lot of fun getting on base,” a grinning Langeliers said. “Just trying to keep things as simple as I can, not try to go up there (and) do too much. Just get a good pitch and put a good swing on it. I’m finding that just keeping it that simple, you’re capable of stacking good days on top of each other.”
The longest American League game to end in a tie was a 24-inning contest between the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Athletics on July 21, 1945. The teams were tied 1–1 when the game was called due to darkness at Shibe Park; the Tigers’ Les Mueller had pitched a record 19.mw-parser-output .frac .mw-parser-output .frac .num,.mw-parser-output .frac .den .mw-parser-output .frac .den .mw-parser-output .sr-only 2⁄3 innings, giving up one run before being taken out in the 20th inning.
On September 12, 1974, baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals won a marathon night game that had started the evening before, defeating the host New York Mets, 4 to 3, in the 25th inning after 7 hours and 4 minutes. This game is the longest National League contest to be played to a decision and is also tied with the aforementioned Brewers-White Sox game on May 8-9, 1984, for the longest game played to a decision in major league history. Two Mets errors led to the Cardinals’ winning run, starting with an errant pickoff throw that allowed Bake McBride to scamper all the way around from first. The Mets went to the plate 103 times, a record in a major league game; the Cards were not far behind with 99 plate appearances. All told, a record 175 official at-bats were recorded, with a major-league record 45 runners stranded. Only a thousand fans were still at Shea Stadium when the game ended at 3:13 a.m. on September 12. Unlike the American League, the National League had no curfew. This was the longest game played to a decision without a suspension.
The 1980 National League Championship Series, played between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies, had four of its five games go to extra innings. The Astros won Games 2 and 3 in 10 and 11 innings respectively, while the Phillies took Games 4 and 5 in 10 innings each.
