This was released in the rest of the world as International Superstar Soccer ’98, without the official FIFA World Cup licence, branding or real player names.

We received a ten-minute walkthrough at Ubisoft Forward 2024 which shed more light on what we can expect from in-game. The trailer begins with what looks like a stealth-based scenario, where Kay is seen navigating an enemy-infested location with Nix. We also get to see several potential actions you can use to help carry out your objectives, like using Nix to distract potential threats while you move.
I left my first 15-ish hours with Star Wars Outlaws feeling not fully enthused, but hopeful that the game would turn out to be a good time. The protagonist, Kay Vess, was starting to grow on me as a character. I was enjoying the look and feel of the various Star Wars locations the game goes to.
One of my favorite quests from the demo involved surprisingly little sneaking or shooting. It was a side job from the Pyke Syndicate, the dominant faction of Toshara’s major city, Mirogana. I was hired to bring in a syndicate member who was caught planning a coup (he’d actually come up in an earlier story mission, a nice, natural-feeling bit of worldbuilding). The first stop was to track a co-conspirator in the city market, but I immediately got distracted by the glow of a Fathier race betting minigame. It briefly occurred to me that this was the same betting operation from that gross casino planet in The Last Jedi, and that maybe it’s messed up to exploit these cute alien horses—I put a stack of credits on “Man From Naboo” and lost it all (instant karma).

The chase led me to the city of Mirogana, which serves as a central hub for both Toshara’s underworld activity and the in-game action in this area. Here, my objective quickly becomes making contact with Gorak, head of the Pyke crime syndicate’s operations on the planet, and there seem to be multiple ways of making it happen – either by purchasing an invite from a shady seller out front, or sneaking into his office above the cantina through a ventilation shaft. Either way, Gorak is none-too-impressed by your sudden intrusion, and I’m soon on a mission from another underworld figure to infiltrate Gorak’s base and steal a bit of intel.

Max Scherzer (YTMS) is taking the mound for Washington after being scratched from a Game 6 start because he could barely move his shoulder. Zach Greinke had a solid outing in Game 3 to kickstart Houston’s three straight wins in DC.
I’ve got no rooting dog in this fight but I gotta say I am definitely pulling for the Nationals to win this thing. Not so much because I like them (although I kinda do) but because I really do not like the Astros.
Greinke, meanwhile, put on a pitching clinic with his awesome arsenal of offspeed stuff. The Nationals’ swings included so many “excuse me’s” you would think they were walking through a crowd. The weak contact was such that Greinke, an athletic and gifted defender, had four assists in the first four innings alone.
