The Governing Body
The Governing Body is an extended unit appointed by the Father Sebastian Educational and Charitable Trust to take care of the ordinary affairs of the institute. It comprises of representatives from the Trust and academic functionaries. It safeguards and executes the educational policy of the Trust. It takes care of ordinary affairs, such as curriculum, ratification and approval of the appointments, discipline, legal matters and new initiatives.

Functions of the Governing Body
- The Governing Body is primarily responsible for the general running of the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College under the guidance and direction of the Father Sebastian Educational and Charitable Trust.
- The Governing Body is responsible for the execution of the education policy of the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College.
- It maintains the academic atmosphere in the campus; it receives the reports of academic attainments.
- It lays down criteria, procedure and policy for an appointment (selection committee, terms and conditions) of staff including non-teaching staff which is subjected to verification and the approval of the trust.
- It frames directives for the standardization of education and up gradation of the institution.
- The Governing Body approves the appointments of staff as per the norms laid down by the trust.
- All disciplinary actions are to be imposed by the secretary of the Governing Body.
- It fixes fees and other charges payable by the students of the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College, keeping in mind the suggestions of the finance committee.
- It approves the Annual plan, Budget and Auditing of the accounts of the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College.
- It approves new plans and projects proposed for the development of the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College by various committees and councils.
- It takes remedial actions on grievance, redressal, feed-back etc.,
