About the Department
Diploma in mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering branches in India. Diploma holders in mechanical engineering are equipped to design and invent new machines. Highest emphasis is given to practical aspects and handling all kinds of machines. Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and material science for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. This department was started in the year 2001 with the strength of 45 and later it was upgraded to 60. The approved strength of the department was upgraded to 90 in 2007 than it was again increased to 120 in the year 2014.
PROGRAM VISION
Department of mechanical engineering will contribute to the college to become an institute of technical excellence which imparts cutting edge technical knowledge, skills and attitude to make every youth into a professionally skilled mechanic.
PROGRAM MISSION
To train diploma students with adequate technical knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering, to make them highly employable, vivaciously entrepreneurial, socially responsible and environmentally sensitive.
