Some new tunes were also added, all played from the disc, such as when Lester escapes the big pool in the first level and when he is grabbed by the guard that appears at the end. At the ending, there is a fragment of the introduction of the sequel, Heart of the Alien. Also included in some versions of this 3DO release is a separate minigame “Stalactites”, in which the player pushes up stalactite shapes falling from the top of the screen. This version also includes an Easter egg animation of Rebecca Heineman getting her head chopped off.
The protagonist of the game is Lester Knight Chaykin, a young physicist. In the opening cinematic, Lester arrives at his high-tech underground laboratory in his car during a thunderstorm and goes to work on his experiment using a particle accelerator, attempting to reconstruct what happened when the universe was born. Immediately before the particles reach their intended destination, a lightning bolt strikes the laboratory and interferes with the accelerator, causing an unforeseen particle fusion and an explosion, opening a hole in time and space and teleporting Lester to a barren, alien planet.
Another World was innovative in its use of cinematic effects in both real-time and cutscenes, which earned the game praise among critics and commercial success. It also influenced a number of other video games and designers, inspiring such titles as Ico, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Delphine’s later Flashback. It is now considered among the best video games ever made.

Speaking of FromSoftware Inc., all the challenging souls-like would not even be where they are if it wasn’t for Dark Souls. Unlike its smoother brothers in Dark Souls 2 and 3, Dark Souls Original gave you a slow build-up in every combat. The challenges made sure you did not have a way to leave a fight without shedding some blood or even metal.
The combat in Ninja Gaiden is meaty, satisfying, and violent. It’s also relentlessly difficult as you’re swarmed by tons of angry enemies from all angles. Beating a Ninja Gaiden game, even on normal difficulty, is the mark of a true warrior and it’s one of the reasons the series has amassed such a loyal following.
After all these modern games, it’s time to take a trip down memory lane and die a lot. Ghost ‘n Goblins can be realistically completed in under an hour, probably a lot less, but most won’t get that far. Newcomers will spend days, maybe weeks trying to finish it. While some make it look easy on YouTube, it never quite works out that way in reality.

“Hollow Knight” is a Souls-like Metroidvania set in a hauntingly beautiful world that you’ll want to explore every inch of. Unfortunately, doing so takes a lot of trial and error! Enemies, particularly bosses, are absolutely brutal, and battling against them can leave you feeling hollow yourself! But the moments between bosses can be just as difficult, since maps aren’t always reliable, and the platforming challenges can be equally deadly. Anyone who has taken on the Path of Pain is sure to have gotten hand cramps at the very least! Don’t get us wrong though – “Hollow Knight” is incredibly fun, and we can’t wait for the sequel!

The player controls Jack from a third-person perspective using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment for attacks and movement, respectively. After defeating the Black Baron at the end of the games, Jack blames Noa, who is shot and killed by Leo. After dealing with the armed forces, Jack disables the communication link with the Chasers and interrogates Leo. Leo tells Jack that his father was the president of Springvale Pharmaceuticals, who created both the virus and the vaccine, and was planning to use the televised DeathWatch event to show the effect of the virus as to blackmail anyone to pay for the vaccine under the outbreak. Leo admits that the company went bankrupt in the last presidential election and saw this route as the easiest way to recoup their losses. He is also at the games to be close to the action, fascinated by sports. Jack throws Leo off the tower to his death.
Three days before the game’s event, the fictional Varrigan City became a target for a group of terrorists called “The Organizers”, who severed the island city’s transportation and communication ties with the rest of the world. They released a virus onto its population that would kill them in less than a day. However, the Organizers informed the populace that any person that killed another would receive the vaccine.
